Here are some photos from the Northwest Sportsmans Club sponsored Wounded Warrior hunt.
I had the distinct pleasure and honor of hosting Marine Corps Veteran James Zacher this year. We were able to spend three days together, two of those hunting together. The first day we managed to harvest 10 ducks and two Canada geese. The second day was a challenge as the temperature dropped to the low single digits overnight and a variable wind all day kept the geese from committing to our goose spread. We did however, manage to harvest two Canada geese before we had to pull the spread and get back to a warmer atmosphere. James was very appreciative of the help, the support and the opportunity to get into the blind and shoot some birds. This hunt took a lot of effort, being flexible and arranging the perfect time for both of us to be available for a long weekend. All in all, the hunt was a success and James is wanting to make a return trip if possible. I am planning on the special weekend for veterans and youth in February to get him back in the blind. Thank you for the support and honoring me with this opportunity to help our veterans. Sincerely, Kent |
