Big Game Draws –
This update is for the last draw in Texas this year. Of the twenty or so different draws due November 1, the following are the ones that that might be of interest.
Exotic----feral hog---NWR alligator and /or feral hog might be fun, but the three I applied for this year are Bighorn Ram, Gemsbok and Scimitar horned Oryx.
The application is only $10.00, and if you draw, the license is very affordable.
The Desert Bighorn will be scheduled based on survey data and conducted sometime next year. Texas has a lot of Desert Bighorns.
The gemsbok and Scimitar horned oryx ate in January on the Mason Mountain ranch. The department will bunk you at the ranch, feed you well and will drive you around the ranch, show you the animals, and field dress it.
My wife drew a hunt there several years ago. The only drawback was that the hunt was for her and her alone. I had to stay elsewhere.

Wyoming applications for points are due Oct 31st.
